■ ENGLISH GUIDED TOUR
2017 is the first year that an English-guided exhibit hopping tour takes place. On February 25th and March 4th, a local guide will take you to selected exhibit sites, providing you with rich interpretations of the work at each site, as well as the nature and culture of the area. Join the tour, enjoy artisanship, and experience the life of Takashima!

■ OUTLINE OF THE EVENT
“Kaze To Tsuchi No Kogei 2017(風と土の交藝2017)”, is an art and lifestyle exhibition event in Takashima City, northwest of Lake Biwa. During the event, local craftspersons open their studios and ateliers to welcome visitors and share the stories about their works and life in person. The exhibition sites are scattered throughout the peaceful province of Takashima, from deep in the tranquil mountains to the shore of the magnificent lake. The event puts its focus not only on appreciating exhibitions themselves, but also on social exchanging with visitors and locals.
